MOSAIC

Our 2025 Mosaic Gala has concluded.

Each year, we come together for something truly special — the Mosaic Gala. More than just a celebration, it’s a powerful evening with a purpose: to raise critical funds for the Mosaic Scholarship, which supports students who are ready to transform healthcare. These future leaders bring fresh ideas, lived experiences, and a deep commitment to building a more just and broad-reaching system of care. By supporting the Mosaic Scholarship Fund, you’re not just opening doors — you’re changing the face of healthcare.

Proceeds from this fundraising effort support our student scholarships. Touro University California is a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Organization.

About Mosaic

Recipients of the Mosaic Scholarship reflect a global village of agents who leave Touro California with the ability to affect change from the embodiment of our community-centric values.

At Touro University California (TUC), we are the builders of tomorrow’s healthcare practitioners, administrators, and Public Health advocates. We take particular pride in the students who transform the spaces with their lived experiences.

Help Support Mosaic

Every year the Mosaic celebration raises funds and awards them to individuals from communities of need as an investment in the future of healthcare.

Our Community Partners

Celebrating the visionaries who help the Mosaic Gala shine.

Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation

As the Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation celebrates its 25th year of giving across our ancestral land, we are proud to support Touro University through the creation of the Momhi Scholarship Fund. Momhi, which means “share” in the Patwin Language, is a special fund that will provide $150,000 in scholarships for local high school or community college students who aspire to attend Touro in 2025 and 2026.

Education, health, and wellness are longstanding priorities of our Tribe. Our investments have supported programs throughout our ancestral territory, which includes Solano County and the grounds of Touro University. From establishing the Yocha Dehe Wintun Academy to creating an endowment at California State University, Sacramento, and supporting youth-focused initiatives such as First 5 Vallejo and Fairfield, we are driven by the belief that access to education uplifts entire communities.

In recent years, we recognized that while students in Vallejo live near premier universities, many still face barriers to access. The Momhi Scholarship Fund was created to bridge that gap – empowering more local students to pursue higher education and careers in health, science, and service.

As one of the three surviving Patwin tribes, the Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation is a longtime steward of ancestral lands in Yolo, Solano, Colusa, and parts of Lake and Napa Counties, where our people have lived from time immemorial. Guided by our tradition of giving, we are committed to sharing the benefits of our economic success to help students and families thrive as we assist with access to education, healthcare, and support services. We look forward to continuing our partnership with Touro University to illuminate the future for generations to come.

Kaiser Permanente

In 2025, Kaiser Permanente proudly celebrates 80 years of advancing health and equity across the communities we serve. Since our founding in 1945, our mission, values, and people have shaped not only what we do—but who we are. Equity, inclusion, and diversity have never been just ideals; they’ve been the foundation of our identity and the driving force behind our work.

For eight decades, Kaiser Permanente has stood for the belief that everyone deserves access to high-quality, compassionate care—regardless of background, identity, or circumstance. We’ve moved beyond simply valuing diversity to actively building systems that promote equity and belonging at every level of our organization.

One of the ways we live this commitment is through our enduring partnership with Touro University California. Together, we’ve cultivated a more inclusive and representative health care workforce by supporting diverse students and professionals through scholarships, mentoring, and internships.

“Diversity in healthcare isn't just about representation; it's about improving the quality of care, addressing health disparities, and fostering an environment where all patients and providers can thrive,” said Darryl Curry, Senior Vice President and Area Manager for Kaiser Permanente in the Napa-Solano Area. “We know that diverse healthcare teams bring a variety of perspectives and experiences, which can lead to more comprehensive and personalized care.”

Our dedication to equity and inclusion has earned national recognition, including a place in DiversityInc’s Top 50 Hall of Fame and repeated honors as a Best Place to Work by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation. These accolades reflect the deep integration of inclusive practices across our organization—from leadership to frontline care.

“Embracing each person’s unique perspective and experience allows us to work together to solve complex problems and achieve our mission,” Curry added. “And creating an inclusive workplace where we all feel we belong helps us deliver equitable care and outcomes for our patients, members, and communities.”

The fabric of equity and inclusion is woven into every corner of Kaiser Permanente. Our physicians lead efforts to design and implement programs that support our diverse workforce and member base. Our employees are empowered to join Business Resource Groups that celebrate identity, foster connection, and inspire change.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to partners like Touro University, who share our vision and help drive systemic and institutional change. Together, we’re building a future where equity isn’t just a goal—it’s a lived reality for every community we serve.

Medic Ambulance Service

At Medic Ambulance, we’ve spent over four decades answering the call and delivering lifesaving care with speed, skill, and compassion. But our mission goes far beyond the sirens and scenes. We are deeply committed to building stronger, healthier communities by investing in the next generation of healthcare professionals.

Supporting Touro University California’s Mosaic Gala is an extension of our values. We recognize the vital role higher education plays in training future clinicians, leaders, and changemakers—people who will one day serve alongside us in hospitals, clinics, ambulances, and communities across the region.

Through our long-standing presence in Solano, Sacramento, and Sonoma Counties, we’ve seen firsthand how partnerships between education and emergency medicine elevate outcomes for everyone. That’s why we’re proud to support Touro’s scholarship efforts and its mission to create a more equitable, accessible healthcare system.

Our newest initiative, the Medic Simulation Lab, underscores that commitment. This cutting-edge training facility will feature advanced technology that includes a state-of-the-art simulation mannequin, offering realistic, hands-on experiences for EMS teams. It represents the future of field training and our dedication to excellence in care.

We believe every student deserves a shot at their dream. Through Touro’s scholarship program and events like the Mosaic Gala, we help ensure tomorrow’s healthcare workers have the tools and support they need to shine.

 Together, we light the way.

Dignity Health/St. Joseph's Medical Center

Dignity Health St. Joseph's Medical Center, a member of CommonSpirit Health, is proud to partner with Touro University California through our Graduate Medical Education (GME) program. The GME program is the cornerstone of our commitment to shaping the future of healthcare. The collaboration with Touro provides a vital training ground for aspiring physicians, equipping them with the skills and experience necessary to excel in their chosen fields. Through rigorous clinical rotations, mentorship from seasoned physicians, and exposure to diverse patient populations, residents gain invaluable hands-on experience that complements their academic learning.

Previously recognized as a top 100 Top Hospitals, St. Joseph’s GME program's impact extends far beyond the walls of St. Joseph’s Medical Center, with the fundamental mission to serve our community and understand the health care disparities it faces. Bringing training programs to Stockton helps alleviate some of the barriers to accessing care that many of our patients face. By training physicians within our community, we are directly investing in the health and well-being of our future. Physicians often grow roots in and around where they train, with studies showing that approximately 70 percent of physicians stay within 50 miles of where they trained in residency. Bringing resident physicians into Stockton and San Joaquin County will address critical healthcare needs and contribute to a stronger, healthier community.

Complementing our GME program is St. Joseph's dedicated Community Health Department. This department serves as a vital link between the hospital and the community, focusing on education, prevention, and outreach. We offer a range of programs designed to empower individuals to take control of their health through health screenings, educational workshops on chronic disease management, and outreach initiatives targeting underserved populations, to name a few. By proactively addressing health disparities and promoting healthy lifestyles, we strive to create a healthier and more equitable community for all. St. Joseph’s combined efforts in GME and Community Health demonstrate our commitment to providing exceptional care and shaping a healthier future for our region.
