Jensine Duquilla always knew she wanted to be a nurse.

Two Touro students won scholarships at the 2023 Osteopathic Medical Education Conference (OMED), the largest gathering of osteopathic physicians and students. At an awards gala, hosted by the American Osteopathic Foundation, Jennifer Addleman and Amrit Banga were honored.

Despite the recent veto by California governor Gavin Newsom of SB-58, the bill that would have made some psychedelics legal in the state, Dr. Kelan Thomas believes that legalization is simply a matter of time.

For Justine, it was a career as a pharmacy technician that led to pharmacy school, but for Sebastian it was his parents’ careers in genetics that brought him to Touro.

When Dr. Chitra Pai received the message that she had won the Leonard Tow Humanism in Medicine Award, as honored as she was, she wondered what exactly she had done to win. In reflecting, rather than a long list of accomplishments, what she found was gratitude.

Sutthida Torr joined Touro University California's College of Pharmacy in September 2022 as Coordinator of Assessment. She, with the Associate Dean of Assessment, collects data on university and national surveys.
