Mosaic is our vital fundraiser for diversity scholarships that unites community members, distinguished scholars, and state and local political leaders for the cause. The perpetually sold-out event benefits students through the Mosaic Scholarship Program.

Touro University California welcomed Dr. Karis Clarke as the new Assistant Dean and Director of the Graduate School of Education this July. With a distinguished background in education and a deep commitment to advocacy and social justice, Clarke brings a wealth of expertise to her role in shaping the future of education.

For Dr. Michael Ellerby, professor at the College of Pharmacy, the secret to winning the 2023 Touro University California (TUC) Outstanding Teaching Award is his love of learning, teaching, and his students. The nomination was strongly supported by Dean Jim Scott Ph.D. and was presented with commemorative plaque at TUC’s Employee Appreciation event. 

In June, Touro University California (TUC) partnered with the University of San Francisco (USF) and the Kings Canyon Unified School District in Reedley, California, to offer a unique community immersion program for nursing students. Ten TUC Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) students, alongside their USF counterparts, had the opportunity to serve the rural community while gaining practical experience.

The numbers are impressive, but they tell only part of the story. It’s the people who make the Touro CARES MVP program so special. And that’s the message that came through March 28 during a celebration of program participants in the Farragut Inn ballroom.

Dr. Assefaw Tekeste Ghebrekidan is a rebel, a legend in his native land and an icon in the public health community.

The 2022-2023 academic year brought with it approval to expand Touro University California’s founding college by 37% in Fall 2024, allowing the University to graduate an additional 50 osteopathic doctors each year starting with the Class of 2029.

The 2022-2023 academic year comes to a close this month with a series of commencements and reflection on all that has been accomplished.

It was so great being back on campus April 26 after so very long. It's amazing to see all the changes and developments that have transpired.

Three alums of Touro University California will serve as speakers for commencement ceremonies scheduled for May 22 and May 23 in Sacramento.
