TUC Announces Appointment of Dr. Tami Hendriksz and Newman J. Hoffman
New Leadership Team to Drive Strategic Growth and Academic Excellence at TUC

Dr. Alan Kadish, President of Touro University, announced the formal appointments of Dr. Tami Hendriksz, as Campus Provost and Chief Academic Officer, as well as continuing in her role as Dean and Chief Academic Officer of the College of Osteopathic Medicine, and Mr. Newman J. Hoffman, J.D. as Chief Executive Officer and Vice President of Touro University California (TUC).
Since joining TUC in 2021, Mr. Hoffman has played a pivotal role in financial and operational management, ensuring fiscal stability, institutional sustainability, and strategic growth.
"His leadership has guided key projects, including developing and managing the annual operating budget, overseeing major campus renovations and capital projects, and strengthening university operations to support TUC's long-term vision," said Dr. Kadish.
Prior to his tenure at TUC, Mr. Hoffman served as Associate General Counsel for Touro University, advising on and leading complex initiatives in higher education finance, law, and strategic planning.
Dr. Hendriksz has been an integral part of TUC for over two decades, serving in key leadership roles that have strengthened the institution's academic foundation and expanded its impact.
"A proud alumna of TUC's College of Osteopathic Medicine, respected educator, and administrator, she has been instrumental in advancing academic excellence, accreditation, faculty development, and interprofessional education," Dr. Kadish added. Together, Dr. Hendriksz and Mr. Hoffman will collaborate with Touro University and lead the TUC campus forward, ensuring that the institution continues to thrive as a premier center for education, research, and service.
