AOA Presidential Memorial Leadership AwardAOA Presidential Memorial Leadership Award (opens in a new tab)

$5,000 awarded annually to one 2nd, 3rd, or 4th-year osteopathic medical student with a current SOMA membership. Students must demonstrate outstanding academic achievements, strong leadership skills, and commitment to the osteopathic profession.

4This $3,000 Grant, given annually, recognizes an Osteopathic medical student, resident, fellow, or physician who is advancing the profession by contributing to scholarly work through research and publication on the biomechanical, biomedical, or clinical aspects of Osteopathic manipulative treatment (OMT).

Welch Scholars GrantWelch Scholars Grant (opens in a new tab)

$1,500 awarded to 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year osteopathic medical students from each AOA approved college/school of osteopathic medicine. Recipients must be committed to osteopathic medicine, excel academically, and have demonstrated financial need while completing his/her osteopathic education.

William G. Anderson, DO, Minority ScholarshipWilliam G. Anderson, DO, Minority Scholarship (opens in a new tab)

Annual scholarship awards of $10,000 will be presented to three minority students who are committed to osteopathic principles and practice, excel academically, and have proven to be leaders in addressing the educational, societal, and health needs of minorities.

American Medical Association Foundation Scholarships

Students must be nominated by their medical school’s Dean of Students to receive an AMA Foundation Scholarship. Learn more about nominations and eligibility through the Office of the Dean, Student Affairs, or Financial Aid Office.

Physicians of Tomorrow ScholarshipsPhysicians of Tomorrow Scholarships (opens in a new tab)

$10,000 scholarships for rising fourth-year medical students, based on academic excellence and financial need.
