Richard Aptaker, DO

Biography

After finishing my PM&R residency in 1992, I worked at Kaiser San Francisco where I was Chief of PM&R and Director of the Spine Clinic till 2000. I became Clinical Faculty in 1997 at the San Francisco College of Osteopathic Medicine (before it was renamed Touro) and was active teaching students while the school was located in San Francisco. I transferred from San Francisco Kaiser to Oakland Kaiser, Department of Orthopedics, in 2000, where I practiced orthopedic rehab, acute non-surgical orthopedic and sports medicine, and performed electrodiagnostic medicine procedures. I retired from Kaiser in 2018 after 26 years and rekindled my relationship with Touro as Adjunct Clinical Faculty in 2019, teaching 1st and 2nd year medical students in the clinical labs.
