Ambassador Program
Our Ambassador program is a year-long experience for high school and college students. You’ll be matched to a peer mentor from a similar background and in the healthcare field to provide career guidance and help you navigate your educational and professional pathways.

Stipend & Benefits
For the yearlong high school and college Ambassador programs, a stipend of $1,250 will be provided upon completion of program activities.
Eligibility & Selection
To be eligible for this program, students must come from an educationally or economically underserved background and reside in a County North of San Francisco Bay (Solano, Napa, Contra Costa, San Joaquin).
HCOP Ambassador Program Applicants will be evaluated based on:
- Overall GPA (self-reported)
- Responses to guided questions in the application form
- Interest in healthcare profession (high school/college) or admitted/enrolled in the DO, PharmD, or PA programs.
What To Expect
The Ambassador Program follows the Mentorship Ladder system in which High School students will receive personalized mentorship from College students, while College Students receive personalized mentorship from Touro’s Health Professional students. Both align in similar career interests and backgrounds to take each student to the next step in their educational journey. Beyond peer mentorship, both High School and College students will receive social and academic support with opportunities to shadow various health-related professionals.
High School students will have a focus on developing themselves professionally by completing a Professional Portfolio and Career Exploration project, while College students will collaborate with Touro’s Health Professional students to complete a year-long public health project.
