Biography

Jya is an Assistant Professor of Public Health in the Community Action for Health Concentration, and the Public Health Field Study Coordinator. She has been working in community health promotion for over 20 years, with a focus on under-resourced, under-researched, and marginalized communities. In addition to higher education, she brings experience working in community clinics, public health philanthropy, digital health platforms, and local community partnerships.
