Helen Hsu, BA, RDMS (AB, OB/GYN), VT
Biography
Helen Hsu began her passion for patient care in 2006. This shaped and solidified the healthcare provider she is today. From treating every patient with compassion, dignity, and respect, to making a positive impact on their lives and on the healthcare field as a whole.
Helen has worked as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer in both a hospital and clinic setting. In 2014 she partnered with a physician to strategize, plan, and execute all logistics to pilot and open the first ultrasound component to a women's health clinic which ran until 2017. She worked as the sole sonographer and teamed with the onsite provider. These services allowed care for low-income families and those without healthcare to assist in early diagnoses and lessen emergency room visits. Concurrently, Helen was working as a Sonography Educator at the Kaiser Permanente School of Allied Health Sciences for over 9 years.
Helen later went on to oversaw Ultrasound, MRI, and Nuclear Medicine at Kaiser San Rafael as the Assistant Facilities Director of Imaging where she was brought on to help in the midst of the pandemic. Most recently, Helen has obtained a specialization as a Fertility Sonographer. This role exemplifies the integration of patient care, education, and empathy during what can be a very arduous journey.
Helen is excited to share her knowledge, experiences, and passions as faculty at Touro University.
